Ron Merville, PE

President and Chief Executive Officer

Ron Merville has served for 35 years as the owner of a Nashville-based engineering firm focusing on the built environment, including electrical engineering projects. As a consulting engineer, he has provided design services for over 5,000 engineering projects in Middle Tennessee and Northern Mississippi. He has designed and deployed over 500 projects as the consulting Public Works Engineer for Metropolitan Nashville, Davidson County. He deployed an annual budget over $29 million in infrastructure projects for a major telecommunications company. He has designed and deployed over 1,000 telecommunications towers across the state of Tennessee for multiple carriers, many of which were rooftop installations. He has designed over 30 large-scale solar generating facilities, and he is a Sharp Solar Certified Installer.

Emily Applegate

Director of Sustainability

Emily Applegate leads the management, administration and strategic planning of sustainability for Energy Source Partners and is responsible for the implementation of new strategies and technologies both for the company and its clients. Applegate focused on sustainability practices while earning her Masters degree in Business Administration at the Owen School of Business at Vanderbilt University. During this time, she created a financial model to prioritize sustainability services and incorporate environmental criteria into investment decisions. She also served as a Sustainability Analyst for Gaylord Entertainment as an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow. Applegate began her professional career in the financial services industry, serving as a Rregistered Aassociate for Morgan Stanley Smith and Barney in New York, NY. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA where she majored in business administration.
