Green Power Facility Installed in Franklin

A sludge field in Franklin is now the site of a solar array. Local officials will flip the switch Tuesday on equipment that’s expected to generate 200 kW of electricity.
Nashville-based Energy Source Partners is leasing the acre of land on the grounds of Franklin’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. The company designed, installed and will now maintain the solar panels, without any financial help from the city.
